Stephanie Franco Holtzlander provides a variety of legal services to health care clients, including hospitals, physicians, long term care facilities and other health care professionals. She devotes her health care practice to the defense of medical professionals before medical review panels, trial and appellate courts throughout the State of Indiana and before Indiana professional licensing boards. Stephanie also provides legal representation in hospital credentialing matters and other peer review proceedings. Stephanie works closely with hospital and practice management to assess and mitigate the risk of litigation while working together with them to develop practical and proactive approaches to risk management. Stephanie prides herself in providing excellent service not only by keeping her clients well-informed, but by listening to their concerns and answering their questions.
Stephanie’s significant knowledge and experience with medical issues in her legal practice have resulted in her ability to successfully defend product liability actions involving asbestos, silica and welder’s siderosis claims. Stephanie has represented miners, manufacturers, contractors and premises owners in multiple types of cases, including mesothelioma, lung cancer and other occupational disease cases. She has coordinated international and national discovery projects for multi-national companies involved in Indiana asbestos litigation.
Stephanie started doing medical malpractice plaintiffs' work in 1993. In 1996, she began practicing at Bose McKinney & Evans where she became a partner and the healthcare department chair. She left Bose McKinney & Evans in 2009 to further her medical malpractice practice with Cantrell Strenski & Mehringer, LLP, where she worked for two years prior to joining BleekeDillonCrandall.
Stephanie earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Journalism. She continued her studies at Drake University School of Journalism and Mass communication with a Master of Arts and graduated from Drake University Law School with honors in 1993.
Stephanie belongs to several Legal Organizations including: Indiana State Bar Association, Indianapolis Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana, Indiana Medical Group Management Association, Federal Bar Association, Indiana Leadership Forum; Alumni 2006, Sagamore Inn of Court; 2009-2010, and Long-Term Care Risk Legal Forum; Member 2009-2011.
Stephanie lives in Carmel, Indiana with her husband Mark. They have three children, Adam, Benjamin and Marya. Stephanie enjoys gourmet cooking, entertaining, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
